Success is a Choice
It's often said that "success is a choice." Top professionals in every vocation make a conscious decision to succeed, then commit all their energies toward making it a reality. But it all starts with that first choice. For many successful individuals, that first choice was to begin a career with First Investors as a Financial Services Representative. In the following pages, we'll discuss the benefits of a career at First Investors, including our training program, career flexibility, and the potential for advancement. At the end, if you are interested, we will also tell you how to apply. By picking up this brochure, you have already taken the first step to a rewarding career. Read on to learn where a career with First Investors can take you.
The Role of the Representative
First Investors is unique in how we serve our clients. We pride ourselves on bringing "Wall Street to Main Street" by delivering financial services with a personal touch. Professionally trained financial services representatives, located in offices coast-to-coast, have been the cornerstone of our business since 1930. They meet face-to-face with clients, learning about their current financial situations, evaluating their risk tolerance and discussing their future goals. Working closely with clients, representatives recommend investment and life insurance products that can help people meet their financial goals.
Diversity is Our Strength
First Investors' representatives form a diverse group. Some joined First Investors right out of college, while others were "career changers" seeking a new opportunity. They come from professional backgrounds such as education, accounting, the performing arts and a variety of other fields. Our representatives encompass a wide range of ages, ethnic backgrounds and life experiences. But they all share several important traits: a genuine enthusiasm for helping people, a willingness to learn and a powerful drive to succeed.
Benefit from Our Training Program
We are proud to offer training developed by our national training center, the University of First Investors (UFI). This training begins with preparation for required licensing examinations and continues throughout your career. This program will give you the knowledge and skills you need to succeed. In addition, you'll receive training at the local level from the management staff. Qualified representatives may also participate in special seminars and conferences held at regional locations, as well as at UFI. As your career progresses, you'll receive more advanced instruction and, if you're eligible, management training.
